May Favorites and Recommendations

May has come and gone in a rush and at a snail’s pace. Everything my husband and I have been going through has time a little wonky lately. But, like I said before, we are good at going with the flow, no matter how many pivots it entails. I digress.

The hubs did quite a bit of reading these last months. More than me. I am still working my way out of a reading slump. But the book I did finish, which was a re-read, is definitely a favorite!

This book is so good and creepy. Having it told from the child’s pov is an added layer of heebie jeebies.

Chris’s pick for May is the sequel to Fourth Wing. He liked it so much that he went straight into the third book. But we won’t talk about that. Let’s just say it won’t be a recommendation for June.

As for decks, there were two that stood out to me the most in May. I really enjoyed working with both of these oracle decks. When My Soul Whispered and The Spiritual Meaning of Birds.

I’ve also found some new favorite pens. I love the InkJoy Gel pens and now they come in metallic!

Baths were a steady source of self-care and opportunity to float away for a bit. . . and Calgon definitely helped “take me away.” The lavendar and honey scented oils left my skin smelling so good and helped me relax.

As for a miscellaneous item, I have this elevation pillow. Its been very beneficial for my husband as he’s been healing and then I used it for icing my knees as well.
